Little Nautical Project
-
Project focus: child-friendly design / functional layout / balanced color palette
-
Size: 12 m²
-
Scope: boy’s bedroom
-
Year: 2024
This children’s bedroom was designed for a primary school–aged boy, combining a modern visual language with a friendly and playful atmosphere. The harmonious balance of grey, blue, and yellow creates a dynamic yet calm environment that supports learning, relaxation, play, and social activities alike.
Material selection focused on quality and durability to ensure long-term usability as the child grows. Functional furniture solutions allow the compact space to be used efficiently, while built-in wardrobes and shelving provide organized storage. A comfortable desk area was incorporated to support focused study and everyday school routines. The interplay of different textures and materials further enhances the room’s visual depth and character.
Natural light enters the room through two windows, controlled by grey Roman blinds that allow flexible light regulation throughout the day. Special attention was given to the use of color: blue accents appear on the walls and selected furniture pieces, adding freshness to the space, while the yellow desk introduces a sense of energy and positivity. The overall atmosphere is balanced, warm, and inviting - designed to promote comfort, creativity, and a sense of well-being.
